Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula or Spoon
  • Fork or masher
  • Baking Sheet or Frying Pan
  • Wire Rack or Paper Towels

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 cup self-rising flour

Instructions

  • Mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth, leaving a few small lumps for extra banana flavor.
  • Gradually stir in the self-rising flour until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and gently roll into balls. Lightly flour your hands if needed.
  • Fry in hot oil until golden brown (about 2–3 minutes), or bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until puffed and golden.
  • Transfer to a wire rack or paper towel to cool slightly. Let them rest for the best texture.
  • Optional: Roll in cinnamon sugar, dust with powdered sugar, or drizzle with honey for extra sweetness.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cinnamon or mini chocolate chips to the dough. Air frying works great too — 350°F for 8–10 minutes.
