Ingredients
  

Main Mixture

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp green onions finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

For Frying

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

To Serve (Optional)

  • dipping sauce ranch or honey mustard recommended

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, flour, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  • Shape the mixture into small patties about 2 inches wide. Gently press to hold shape.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Fry fritters in batches for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Make ahead tip: Mix and shape patties in advance and refrigerate until ready to cook. For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Best served fresh and hot!
