Ingredients
  

For the Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

For the Stir-Fry

  • 2 chicken breasts sliced into thin strips
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles cooked according to package instructions
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 carrots julienned
  • 1.5 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil for cooking

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  • Slice chicken, carrots, onion, and broccoli into thin, even pieces.
  • Heat 1 tbsp sesame oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sauté until just cooked through and lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add onions and sauté until softened. Add carrots and cook until tender. Toss in broccoli and cook for a couple more minutes.
  • Add minced garlic and stir until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Return cooked chicken to the pan. Pour in the sauce and let it simmer for 1–2 minutes to combine flavors.
  • Add cooked lo mein noodles. Toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated and heated through. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, finish with a drizzle of sesame oil or sprinkle with green onions. Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
