Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Tongs
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter divided
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice fresh
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt half of the butter. Sear the chicken breasts for 5–7 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt remaining butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  • Add parsley, thyme, and lemon juice. Stir to combine and let the sauce simmer briefly.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over each piece. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until heated through and coated.
  • Transfer to serving plate, drizzle with extra sauce, and garnish with parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

Pairs perfectly with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted veggies. For a spicier twist, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or cayenne to the sauce.
